Desiring a facelift is one thing. Affording it is another ! ie. It aint happening anytime soon !
My crepey eyes no longer sparkle with the wide-eyed presence of youth, especially since I passed the age of 50! I now need a lot of help from a good curling mascara. I find that Boot's Exquisite Curl is ok and holds the curl quite well, but you have to be pretty quick in applying it because if you try to add more than one coat the mascara flakes badly and looks messy. I await this mascara's launch in a Waterproof version before I give up on it totally. For cheap half decent black mascara I like Prestige - My Blackest Lashes Volume Mascara which is about £7 in Boots and also good old reliable Bourjois - Volume Glamour . Max Factor - False Lash Effect Fusion Volume & Length gets a thumbs up from me too for its quickness and ease of application in a rush ! I still have to use eyelash curlers with these mascaras though !
Many of the so-called "curling" mascaras really do not curl the lashes and hold them in place for very long. Am I alone in finding this ? I am peeved at manufacturers who make these claims and also the blatant cheek of them advertising with lash inserts and post production enhancements. What is the point in all the fakery with advertising mascara these days? Why do they continue to do it ? I feel it is a shambles and an insult to our intelligence to assume we believe their hype.
I feel that with all the money the Cosmetic giants make from us they could easily afford to provide stores with small trial sized samples. I feel we should start to suggest this ourselves as I am sure most of us buy mascaras that don't suit and put it down to experience, toss it in the make up box or the bin ! I am not going to do that any more ! I have just bought a L'Oreal mascara and on first application it looks pretty dire for all the hype and promises! I will try it again tommorrow, being the forgiving kind, and will report back !
